‘Well I am just a gym instructor’ Seth shrugged, ‘nothing very special’

‘But you are the same as us then’ Li said with a smile.

‘Well I don’t really think so’ Seth said doubtfully.

‘It is not so different you train your body and teach others how to do the same, much as we do’ Li smiled.

‘Well I suppose’ Seth said not at all convinced.

‘How did you come to Mistress Aya?’ Long now asked.

‘That well, that’s down to my clever friend here’ Seth said slapping Gagan on the back, ‘he told me all about this and it sort of went from there.’

‘And what is it made you interested in all this?’ Long now asked looking at Gagan.

‘Well my hobby is ancient history. I have always loved it! Which is how I met Aya. She told me about the similarities and connections between cultures both past and present I was hooked straight away. I mean I know that we have the Great Flood and the End of the world predictions but there are lots more. Did you know that there is a reoccurring theme about immortality, the fountain of youth some call it which I have been looking into and’

‘Gagan’ Seth said stopping him mid sentence, ‘sorry he’s like this all the time! Once he gets going he never stops’ Seth said and Hoshi once more stifled a giggle. 'what about you Demitri, and your family what’s your story?’

‘Us well we are from the Ukraine we came to England during the time when the Berlin wall fell, you remember that yes?’ Demitri looked at the others.

‘I was a kid then but yes sort of’ Seth nodded.

‘Ha you youngsters, anyway as I said we came to England when our little Ela was only a baby.’

  ‘Father!’ Ela said getting embarrassed.

‘But you were my sweet, anyway what was I saying, yes we came to England’

‘You have told them this already, they know we come to England! This they do not need to know, they want to know how you met Aya’ Oleska said interrupting her husband.

‘If you will just let me finish my rose’ Demitri glared at his wife.

‘But this they do not ask to hear, is all I am saying!’ Oleska said stubbornly.

‘Yes yes my love OK, I meet Aya at the community centre there!’ Demitri said theatrically throwing his hands in the air and raising his eyes to the heavens.

‘I was only trying to help Demi no need to show your temper and what about our Ela why not you tell them about her?’ Oleska nagged her husband.

‘I can speak for myself mother, I am a vet’ Ela said nodding at the others.

‘So how did you all come to be here?’ Seth asked.

‘Well that is my fault’ Demitri said holding his hands up, ‘it is an interesting story actually’ Demitri glared at his wife daring her to interrupt. ‘You see I play chess and they have chess group at community centre. Well one day when my chess game finish I was just about to go home when I see a notice for the this Ancient Civilisations meeting and I say to myself, Demitri that sounds interesting let us see what it is all about, and what do I find but the beautiful Aya here and she stole my heart’ Demitri said looking at Aya dramatically clutching his chest.

‘Oh you are an old fool’ Oleska chastised her husband as the others laughed.

‘But seriously my friends what Aya said at that meeting made me think. Afterwards I read about what she says and I could see she was right. The rest as I think you say is history!’ Demitri finished with a flourish.

‘And Ela, why did you come along?’ Seth asked.

‘Well I helped father to find the books he needed and I could see like he did that there was something more to all of this as Aya said’ Ela answered.

‘And my Oleska was forced to go along with us no my sweet’ Demitri said trying to kiss his wife who pushed him away with a snort.

‘What about you Aiden we know you had the dreams but how did you find us?’ Seth now looked at Aiden.

‘Well I met Aya in the library and she invited me along to the meeting’ Aiden said looking at Aya.

‘Well we are all here now!’ Demitri laughed ‘We are on a quest I think yes, maybe the biggest quest there has ever been’

‘Well it’s been a long day’ Aya said yawning as she stood up, ‘it’s time for some sleep for me, good night everyone’

‘Yes husband us too’ Oleska said.

Demitri raised his hands in surrender and all agreed it was time for sleep and wished each other a good night.

Aiden feel asleep almost immediately and dreamt of the events that had been happening to him so recently seeing images of his work mates Colin and George, Ruth and Gary. Then the march he had been on and the faces of the people he had marched alongside. He again heard the scream of the engines of the stricken airplane but this time it was headed straight for him, closer and closer it came. A giant monster from which there was no escape and Aiden woke with a start. He looked around his tent now wide awake. He tried to make himself comfortable once more and closed his eyes in an effort to get back to sleep. But try as he might Aiden could not sleep, something was disturbing him but what! Then he heard it, a sound like a whisper which when he concentrated sounded like a murmured conversation that was happening somewhere outside his tent. His curiosity aroused Aiden slipped on his pants and shoes and grabbing his jacket crawled out of his tent. It was still dark outside but the moon gave enough light to see by. He guessed it must still be the early hours of the morning as the chill air caused his breath to mist in front of his face. Aiden looked around but everything was quiet except for the occasional snores from the rest of the group who were still fast asleep. Aiden stood still and concentrated. Once more he heard the distant murmured conversation which was coming from the forest nearby. Intrigued Aiden walked towards the sound. He stopped briefly at the edge of the forest looking into the darkness beyond but the sound drew him on and he quietly entered the forest. As he went deeper into the trees he could see that there were some lights ahead. Aiden crept forward towards the lights of which there were many each one either a shade of blue or green until finally he came upon a hollow. Carefully Aiden made his way up behind a tree on the edge of the hollow and peered round. In the middle of the hollow a he was stunned to see Aya, a cloud of small glowing lights dancing around her. Aiden watched the scene in fascination trying to work out what was going on.

‘Aiden stop skulking in the shadows and come down here!’ Aya ordered without turning to look at him. ‘Don’t be afraid’ she added as an afterthought.

Aiden still hesitated but then eventually did as he was told. He warily stepped out from behind the tree and took a step towards Aya. As he did this one of the green balls of light detached itself from the group and sped towards him coming to an abrupt a stop half way between Aya and himself making Aiden freeze.

‘Don’t be scared Aiden they will not harm you’ Aya said once more and Aiden could swear that he heard the sound of tiny laughter. The ball of light that had sped towards him now flew back to Aya.

Aiden once more made his way towards Aya but stopped a good six feet away still nervous about the strange blue and green coloured lights. There was something about the lights that didn’t make sense as if there was something inside them but they did not stay still long enough for him to see clearly.

‘Aya are you alright?’ Aiden spoke quietly still worried.

‘I am fine’ Aya assured him turning now to look at him.

‘But what are those’ Aiden said pointing at the lights and as soon as he did this a green ball of light flew straight at his finger. Aiden quickly pulled his hand away. The ball of light remained stationary where his finger had once been. Aiden focusing on the light suddenly saw that in the middle there was a tiny human figure no bigger than his little finger that gave off the green glowing light and had a pair of wings that beat so fast they were just a blur.

‘Is that a fairy?’ Aiden said out loud frightening the ball of green light away.

‘Aiden I would like you to meet the Dry
ads from the House of Elver. These are their forests that we are camping in. This is the dreamer I told you about’ Aya said obviously now addressing the Dryads. With that the balls of light flew over to where Aiden stood like a statue and swarmed around him. Aiden could see now that the blue balls of light looked like male Dryads and the green ones female and he could hear their laughter as they flew about him.

Aya seeing that Aiden was not about move any time soon decided to make her way toward him.

‘Now behave yourselves please you can see he is still frightened’ Aya said provoking Aiden to puff his chest out to show that he was not, which seemed to amuse the Dryads even more.

‘Dryads?’ Aiden said trying to remember where he had heard the term, ‘are they something to do with druids?’ Aiden said focusing on a female Dryad that was hovering only a few inches from his eyes.

‘Dryads don’t really have anything to do with anyone’ Aya said and then paused as a green ball of light said something in her ear. 'She says that the Druids were boring and I won’t repeat the rest’ Aya repeated and again Aiden heard the sound of tiny laughter.

‘But they really exist’ Aiden said looking at the Dryads as they flit about him, ‘this is not some illusion?’

‘Well I can see them’ Aya answered.

A female dryad probably the same one as before Aiden guessed now flew close to his ear.

‘Hello Aiden’ he heard a tiny voice giggle.

  ‘Errrrr... Hi’ Aiden said

‘Do want to be my pet?’ The tiny voice asked him and quickly flew round to hover in front of his face.

‘Your pet?’ Aiden said to more giggles from the Dryads.

‘No he cannot be your pet’ Aya interrupted firmly, ‘now off you all go I need to talk to Aiden and remember what I told you!’

Aiden heard the Dryads tiny voices moan but they did as Aya had commanded and flew off into the forest like a swarm of fire flies their laughter tinkling through the trees.

‘What were.... how’ Aiden stammered still looking at the patch of forest that the Dryads had disappeared into.

‘With the coming of Nibiru many strange things will start happening, as they already have! Aya paused looking at Aiden. ‘Do you trust me Aiden?’ she asked after a moment's pause.

‘Yes of course I trust you’ Aiden said finding voice.

‘Well there is a lot more that I have not told you or any of the others. You see it was not only the Anunnaki that came to Earth there was another race called the Neteru. To know who the Neteru are you must understand about the Anunnaki. You see Nibiru is a very hostile world many times the size of this planet and the creatures on Nibiru, like the creatures in your dreams, have evolved to kill or be killed. So in order for any one creature to dominate on Nibiru it would have to be more powerful and dangerous than any of the other creatures. It was the Anunnaki who managed to do this. So you see in a way you cannot blame the Anunnaki for their cruelty for this was the way they had been made to evolve. But as time passed some Anunnaki scholars began to question if the path that the Anunnaki were on was the correct one. These scholars felt that in order for the Anunnaki to evolve they would need to turn away from violence and destruction and only then would they be able to evolve to the next level. But of course for the majority of the Anunnaki this way of thinking was heresy and the scholars were executed in the cruellest ways possible. But not all the scholars were killed. Some managed to escape with their followers and it was these who became the Neteru. You see Aiden it was the Neteru who were the first to come to earth not the Anunnaki. The Neteru brought with them the knowledge of what you call genetics, which allowed them to create what they called pets. Creatures who would be able to perform certain tasks such as working or fighting for them. The Dryads are just some of the pets of the Neteru. The Dryads were created to pass messages between the Neteru. Does this make any sense to you?’ Aya paused.

‘So those things are messengers’ Aiden said.

‘Yes that is right’ Aya smiled.

‘And there are other creatures?’ Aiden asked.

‘There are many more yes’ Aya answered.

‘But why haven't we heard about these creatures before!’ Aiden asked.

‘Well that is another thing. The Neteru and their pets need the energy from Nibiru to stay awake so when Nibiru leaves this solar system and takes its energy with it those that remain on Earth eventually fall asleep only to awake when Nibiru returns’ Aya replied.

‘So you are saying that now that Nibiru has returned!’

‘That the pets will all awaken yes’ Aya finished for him.

Aiden stood in silence going over what Aya had just told him and looked closely at her as if seeing her for the first time.

‘You are one of them aren’t you?’ Aiden stated.

‘I did not want to tell you so soon’ Aya paused.

‘But you are, aren’t you!’ Aiden demanded.

‘Yes Aiden I am a Neteru’ Aya admitted.

Aiden stood in silence lost for words once more.

‘So you are an alien from the planet Nibiru’ Aiden said finally.

‘I am from Nibiru but I have been on this Earth for many thousands of years now so I don’t consider myself an alien any more’ Aya shrugged.

‘So all of this is really going to happen, these Anunnaki will come back to Earth and destroy us all?’ Aiden said more to himself than Aya.

‘In all probability I would say yes but they will leave some survivors to use as slaves or play things’ Aya answered.

‘We must tell the others, none of them will be able to have any doubts after they hear about this!’ Aiden said.

‘No I cannot tell them yet, now is not the time’ Aya said hesitantly.

‘But why not?’ Aiden asked with a frown.

‘They have had to believe in so much already if they learn about me I think it will make things worse not better’ Aya said.

‘But surely they need to know’

‘Please I do not want to tell them as yet. I promise you I will tell them, but not yet! It is not the right time. Promise me you will not say anything to the others!’ Aya said firmly.

‘I promise’ Aiden said with a sigh.

Chapter 10 - God, Money and Power

Hanif had listened with growing disdain at much of what the infidels on stage had said. He had sat at the back of the hall as the fair haired woman had talked about Ancient Civilizations. She even dared talk about his religion! His contempt for these Westerners as great as ever. The blasphemies spoken sickened him, one day they would all pay for their heresies! But he had a reason for being there for he was interested in this Eden. He had found references to this place in some old Islamic texts he had found. He had thought he may be able to learn something useful about it from the meeting. However they were just mad people talking about aliens and the end of the world. But they were right about one thing the end of the world was coming, at least the end of world as they knew it! A war was coming, a war that would change the world forever.

Hanif as soon as the meeting finished had got up and left making his way straight back to his temporary home, a terraced house in the East End of London where he had been living for over a year. He shared the small house with two of his blood brothers Kasim and Jamal he did not know their family names as they did not know his! As Hanif walked back through the busy streets of London he recalled when he had first come to England as a teenage refugee from Iraq. It was soon after his whole family his mother, father, brothers and sisters had all been killed. He remembered when he had arrived in London all those many years ago full of love for this country and its people who had rescued him. But his love was short lived. He soon found that this country were not as welcoming as he had first thought and that life for him was far from pleasant. He was too old for school so he was forced to look for work and all he could get was poor paying labouring work where he was treated like an animal. But he had worked hard, working all the hours of the day just to try and make
a better life. But the money he made was so little that he was barely able to survive. He then remembered his encounter with a group of tattooed thugs on his way home after work one evening. How they had started to taunt him and push him around. There were so many of them and only one of him. He had tried smiling at them in the hope that they would see he was a good person. But his smile was met with a fist that sent him sprawling on to the pavement where he remained curled in the dirt like a dog as the blows rained down on him. They must have knocked him unconscious because when he came to they had all gone. He had painfully picked himself off the ground. But it was not the beating that had hurt him most, no that he could endure! What had hurt him more than the injuries was the treatment he received from the British people who he had once thought so good. For they had simply ignored him as the thugs picked on him and walked by as they kicked him. Not one of them had raised a hand to help him as if he were just some animal. It was then that he realised that these were not good people as he had thought and that everything about this country was a lie. Hanif looked at the people around him as he made his way back home feeling nothing but contempt and hatred for them all.

As Hanif approached his house he scanned the road as he had been taught looking for anything out of the ordinary and satisfied all was normal he walked up to his front door and let himself in.

‘Is that you Hanif’ Jamal’s voice called from the kitchen.

  ‘Yes brother’ Hanif answered

‘I have a message for you, Asan will visit tonight at the usual time’ Jamal said appearing at the kitchen door, ‘do you think it’s time brother?’

‘We will see brother’ Hanif answered entering the living room.

Asan coming tonight! Hanif thought to himself, he was not due until Friday! Was Jamel right was it time. Hanif entered the living room and sat down thinking about Asan and how they had first met which was not long after he had been attacked. He remembered how he had gone to the Mosque that day still fresh from his injuries covered in cuts and bruises. It was then that he had first met Asan, a kind man who had been the first to ask what had happened to him. Asan when he learnt of Hanif’s plight was so concerned for his well being that he had insisted that he come back with him to his home for a meal. Asan was the first person since his long dead family who had shown such compassion for him. When Hanif got to Asan’s home his family had treated him like he was one of their own and Asan had listened with sympathy as Hanif told him about his life in England. Hearing how he lived alone in a dormitory and worked much as a slave. It was then that Asan, much to Hanif’s surprise and joy, had insisted that he stay with him and his family and he would not take no for an answer. So Hanif had stayed with Asan who treated him like a son. Not only that but Asan also got him a good job where he was treated with respect and Hanif for the first time in a long while realised that there were good people. Not good people he corrected himself, good Muslims!
